  • What is travel time?

    Travel time is calculated from our facility in Southington CT to the load address, then from the unload address back to our facility in Southington, CT.

  • What is work time?

    From the time we arrive at your pick up address to the time the job is completed at the final delivery address. 

  • Are you fully licensed and certified?

    Yes! CT Moving and Storage is a licensed and certified moving company. 

  • Do you follow COVID-19 precautions?

    At CT Moving and Storage, we know how much of a trying time it has been during this pandemic. We also understand that people need safe, fast moving services. This is why we always ensure to practice COVID-19 precautions and follow state guidelines. The last thing we want is to put our clients and employees at risk when we are here to help! 

  • Will your staff protect my stuff?

    Yes! We have a minimum of 100 blankets on every truck, which are specifically used for padding. We also ensure to bring all the proper equipment and materials to make sure every move keep your possessions safe and secure. 

  • Are all of your employees ,"your employees" only?

    Yes! Every employee at CT Moving and Storage is one of our full time staff members. We do not hire any day laborers. 

  • What are schedule fillers?

    If you think you have less than 3 hours of work, you can call for schedule fillers. We may be able to reduce minimums! 

  • What companies were you previously affiliated with?

    One of the companies were previously affiliated with was Flynn Moving and Storage. However, we rebranded and now only go by the name CT Moving and Storage! In addition, we are affiliated with:

    We recommend scheduling your move at least 4-6 weeks in advance, especially during peak moving seasons. However, we can often accommodate last-minute moves, so feel free to contact us regardless of your timeline.

  • Do you offer storage options?

    Yes, we provide secure storage solutions for both short-term and long-term needs. Our storage facilities are climate-controlled and monitored to ensure the safety of your items.

  • What happens if there are weather issues on moving day?

    We prioritize safety and will assess the situation if there's inclement weather on moving day. If conditions are too hazardous, we'll work with you to reschedule your move at no extra cost.

  • How do you handle last-minute moves?

    We understand that sometimes moves happen unexpectedly. If you need to move on short notice, contact us, and we'll do our best to accommodate your schedule and needs.

  • How do you handle fragile or valuable items?

    We take special care with fragile and valuable items, using high-quality packing materials and techniques to protect them. We can also provide custom crating for items like artwork, glass, and electronics to ensure their safe transport.

  • Do you offer discounts or special rates?

    Yes, we offer discounts and special rates. For military personnel and seniors, we offer a 5% discount. Cannot be combined with other promotions. Contact us to learn about any current promotions or to see if you qualify for a discount.

  • How should I label my boxes?

    Labeling your boxes by room and content is highly recommended. This helps our team place boxes in the correct rooms and makes unpacking much easier for you. You can also use color-coded labels or stickers to further organize your belongings.

  • Can you help with moves for businesses or offices?

    Yes, we offer commercial moving services for businesses and offices of all sizes. We understand the importance of minimizing downtime and will work with you to create a detailed plan that suits your business's needs.

  • What do I do with my pets on moving day?

    For the safety and comfort of your pets, it's best to have them stay with a friend or at a pet boarding facility on moving day. This helps avoid stress for your pets and ensures they don't accidentally get in the way during the move. We can offer tips on how to prepare your pets for the move.
